Are mobile phones worth the risk?

Nowadays a person who doesn’t have a mobile phone is a strange person. You can say that the mobile phone is part of our daily lives. We do not know how to live without the mobile phone.

On the one hand, the mobile phone is very practical, we can do a lot of things with it. The most important thing is the communication, then we have more aplications like internet, music, photos, games and much more. And these applications can be updated over time so we can do more things everyday.

On other hand, many scientists say that the mobile phons broadcast electromagnetic  waves and we can suffer cancer or other illnesses. What’s more, communication aerials also harm the environment harms the environment with the mobile phone's antenns.

In my opinion all the tecnologies are very important, but I also think that we are much dependent on that so sometimes we have to disconnect from the world and enjoy life

Nearly every town has a library. In Castelló d'Empúries the library is very large and modern. If the town has a library it is very important for this town. For example in my town there is a library and also there are schools and high schools, so there are students. If the town has a library it is very good for these students and for other people of town. In the library you can do a lot of things like read, do homework, do projects because there are a lot of thing that can help you like computers, bookd, dicctionaries... You can also rent films, books and magazines if you prefer read or wath films in your hause. Ther library also has internet so you can consult differents web pages. In Castelló d'Empúries's library there is a place for children where you find different books for children and films.


In my opinion to have a library in a town is very important because you have all the information that you need.

Red light (film)

This movie was very intresting because there are a lot of plots. The most important plot was the magic. In the film there are people who say that they have magic, and they hepl people with they illnesses for example canser. BUt all this was false. The character is a men ans his work is to descover these frauds. I say that this film has a more plots necause not only the movies is about magic it is also a scary film. In the end we can see that the character looks for these people because he really has magic si he wants look for people like himself but he snly finds traitors.

In my oinion this movie was very intresting because can see the magic trioks. It's so intresting because the things that happen are very strange. Sometimes this film is scary. It's a very good film because the actor do a verygood job.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vatOw6FquzU

Online shopping

Nowadays online shopping is a very normal thing. A lot of people know about it. 

On the one hand, online shopping is very practical because you cn shop in your hause, you ca buy in a lot of stores like Zara, Mango, Stradivarius... and in a one day. A lot of basinesses have an option od shooping on internet. In my opinion it is very practucal and it's cheaper. 

On the other hand the size can be a problem because you can't try on the clothes that you buy. The clothes that you buy can also be torn or maybe you by one thing but then the shop geves you another article of clothing. This was of shoppong is so complicated because when you buy there can be a lot of arreor.

In conclusion I think that if you know how the shopping programmes work you can buy online but don't forget o checj whot you buy.

Places to visit

I know that everybody is a different, with different opiniond, tastes and with differents lifestyles.

I think that everyone thinks abouttheir perfec holidays so in this writing I willpropose some places to visit.

First we can visit the Fiji Islands a olaces to relax, white sand, transparent woter, coconut palm. You can sunbathe, do diving... In short this place is perfect to relax.

The second place we have is Okavago. In the Kalahari desert. It is an increible river, here we can see different fauna because the river starts  in a mountain and finishes a desert. People say that this river is a dream river because it is very difficult to imagine if you don't see it yourself.

In the third place we can visit the tipcal Janpanese hause Korakukan. This place is in Japan it is a typical Japanse  hause and also is a spa with monkeys. You can relax, sleep and see monkeys in the same place.

Finally we can visit Kaieteur  falls. Kaieteur falls are up ti five times hijher tahn the Niagrar falls so it is very intresting to see.

In Roses there is a hotel where the people are recorded in the shower. When a client of this hotel took a shower she saw that a webcam was recording her. The women made a complaint about this hotel.

In my opinion these things are very strange in the XXI centuary. I think that  whoever did this was a very bad person because in a hotel you think that you have intimacy and these thngs are unforgiveable because you pay a lot of money to stay in a hotel and you think that you are sure in this place
I also think that there are a lot of people who do this things. So in XXi centuary you can not be sure of anything, It is very sad that nowadays there are these things.

In this enterview Josep Guardiola tolk about himself. He speaks about his love fot Barça. He began to pay football very young and he played with Barça when he was seventeen years old.

In my opinion the title of this interview can be real because Josep Guadiola is a very good coach. He know how to talk to the footboll players bacause he was also a footboll player.
A lot of people say that he is a philosopher and maybe it is true because  he knows how to speak  a very well. For this coach the imost important is to participate.
Finally I think that the players also like this coach  maybe it is because Josep Guardiola is very frendly I don't know, but this coacg knows what the team needs.

Adopt

Is adoption a good thing? Everybody knows that before adopting there is the abandoning of children. Everybody knows that there can be a lot os causes for abandoning  of children.

I think that the most important can be a young mother, maybe a girl gets pregnant and she doesn't tell  her parents enything so she has he baby and then  she abandons it. Another cause can be a poor family maybe they think that it is better that their children are adopted and in this way they think that the children will have a better life. Finally the last cause can be  that the family have problems with drugs. 

I know that there are a lot of people who don't want to abandon thair children but maybe they don't have anything for this baby, also there are people who abandon thier baby because they don't want problems and this is very cruel.

Nowaday there are a lot of centres where people help to these children. Moreover there are a lot of people who want to adopt a baby to help it. Also there are people who can't have children and tha possibility to adopt is like a present for them.

Everybody knows that there are a lot of centres to adopt and in a differents countries. These places are very different because there are  rich or poor countries. For exemple is Russia there are a lot of adoption centres but the goverment doesn't help these centres for this reason adopting in this country is very easy ans fast because the people who wok with these children want the best for them.

In my opinion  this topic is sad but the only thing we can do is help these places with some money.

My oral presentation

The last oral presentation was about my research project and the mane is Death in the Mays's religion and in their decendens. In my opionion this oral presentation wasn't very good because in this subject there are difficult words so I read a little. I also was nervous because this subject was a little different to explain. All these were the nagative part.

Despire this I think that my power point was ood because I diden't put a lot of words and there Were some photos. I think that this subject was very particular because maybe there are people who like this subject and there are who don't.

Finally i think that I could have done it better because this subject is so difficult to explain in English.

Amy Winehause died last july 23. She was 27 yearl old. Nobody knows the cause of her death but a lot of people think that thse cause was the drugs.
In my ipinion this singer-songwiter was famous all the world, and now she is a pop legend. I know that there are a lot of starts whot have died at 27 years old like ther singer of Nirvana. A lot of people think that the best age for die is 27 because if you dead old you aren't happy but I don't thnk this.
Amy Winhause had a lot of fans. In my opinion she had a very beautiful voce. I'm not great fan of this singer but I like a lot of her songes. It's a pity that this singer has died but I also think that all her fans knew abous her addiction to drugs so I think that her death wasn't a very big suprise.
Finally I think that all her fans remember her and I also think that her music will exist forever.

The cold wave

At the moment in Europe ther is a cold wave to be exact the name of this wave is the siberian wave. The world become crazy firts the summer was longer and now ther temperatures have follen quickly. Even though in contries where winter is very cold nowadays the people are also suprised of these temperatures. For example in Ukraine, the temperature can be usually -12º but at the moment the temperature at the night can be -30º . To be cols in this country is normal so people are preparade for this condition, but this ware is different because it has been very strong and there are a lot of people who have died.
In Spain the cold wave is worse because for latin people the cold is very unplesent. These temperature are not normal in Spain. The arquitectre isn't praparated for this siation so maybe the water is hauses freezes. In the  contary in the mountain this situation is better because there is more snow  on the skislopes and people enjoy  themselves.

Carnival 2010!

This carnival was very different because usually all my friends and I always dress up together. For exemple, in carnival 2010 we was dessed upas painters and in 2011 as charleston.
But this year as I set before was different because his year all my were at university some in Girona and some in Barcelona so the organization was very complicated.
My best frend and I decidet that we would dress us as elown, anly girls. And we decidet to dress up as flamenco dancers. This facy dress was very beautifol. We wore a big flower in our hair and the typical earings. We also made up very colorfully and we painted a beauty spot on our face. We culed our hair, so we seemed a real flamenco dancers.
At night it was very funny because there are a lot of people in the party but we were the only flamenco dancers.
In my opinion the facy dress doesn't matter, the important is the company.

Dear Ms. Pintó
I'm a student at his this centre I' been here for 6 years so I know this school very well.
In my opinion this school is very modern and fashionable, but most people think that this school is vey dark and boring.
Now I'm going to talk about the new time table.
On the one hand, we will have less holidays in summer but we will have one weekfree in April.
This week helps to relax and do our homework and also to go to carnival.
I also think that starting at 8p.m helps to use more our time because we have a lot of time because we have a lot of time to do a other things afther school.
On the other hand, I don't like starting school on the 7th of September because on this dates we have the Mediaval Festival.
Next year we won't have this free week in April and ? Don't like this.
Finally, I would be happy they stopped the project of starting the school on the 7th of Setember and starting on the 15th like every years.

Carnival!
Now I'm going to talk about carnival.
Every year my friends and me dress up for the carnival. Every year we have a problem because we don't know which costume to choose. The last year we dressed up as painters. In my opinion this costume was very comfortable because every year for carnival it is very cold but if you have an overall you can put others clothes underneasth it.
Every year we have a meeting to choose the costume. We usually discarting about the costumes because there are a lot of opinions but finally we choose the most confortable option and cheapest.
Last eyar the costume was very confortable. Before carnival we went to a friend's hause to prepare the costume. We took the paint and then we painted the overalls with our hands. In the carnival there were a lot of groups pf painters but we were the best group.

Now I'm going to describe my boyfriend.

We have been to gether for two years and five month so I think that I krow him very well. At the beginning I'm going to talk about his physical character and then about his personality.

His name is Christian, he is 20 years old. He is very tall, he has big and blue eyes, his hair is short and very dark, he also has think lips. He loves goings to the gym so in my opinion he has a good body and he is quite attractive.

Now I'm going to talk about his personality. When you first meet him he seems to be a very moody and shy person, but then he becomes estroverted and funny person He is very sociable so he has a lot of friends. He is a very good listener so he always helps people who have problems. He is a self-critical person because when he does wrong things he ask fot forgiveness. I also think that he is a little competitive with his friends. And finally I am sure that he is big.headed because when he wants something he always gets it

HAWAII

Hi! We are Mari and Ariadna as you know and we are going to talk about Hawaii, w echose this country because we think that it is a good place to go to on holidays and it’s seems a happy country.

To continue we are going to talk about the culture, climate, vegitation and other things. We have also prepared an imaginary holiday and thanks to this project you can know places that you can visit in the future if you travel to Hawaii.

THE ISLANDS

This country is made up of eighteen islands, it’s capital is Honolulu, in this city there is a very important beach the most important beach in these islands. It has got a tropical climate but there is also a lot of rain. Hawaii is one of the united states of America. You can find it in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.


The official languages in hawaii : there are two official languages: hawaian and english.

RELIGIONS
The traditional culture transmited a knowledge system called Huna or Aloha. Other ones are: - Cristianism: 68% which represent sixty eight per cent of the population.
Protestants: wich are a forty two %

GEOGRAPHY

All the islands of Hawaii are made up of the lava from the volcanos. The island of Hawaii has five volcanous and one of them is the Kilauea and it is still active. The most important islands are Nihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Moui and the island of Hawaii and the most people call this the big island.

DEMOGRAPHY
In Hawaii there are 1.285.498 inhabitants (here you can see the inhabitants of the most important islands).
In Hawaii forty nine per cent of the people are men and fifly-one per cent are women. In Hawaii we can find people from different countries like Alaska, Asia, Afro american people, hispano Latino people and from other countries.

GASTRONOMY
The most important and famous food is; Poke and Pa mea’ai.
-Poke; fish in mineral salt and it is made up of Kalua stile dug in a well and put on het rocks and then they put the fish on the hot rock to cook it. Finally the fish is served with little onions, peppers, and soja sauce.
The other traditional food is Pa mea’ai; the main food can be meat or fish with rice and macarroni or salad.
Drinks: the most important cocktail are: Tiki, Blue Hawaii and Mai-Tai, all of the cocktails are made with rum.

CULTURE

Hula : The tradicional dance of Hawaii is Hula. The songs of hula are called mele. There are two styles of hula.

-The first is “Kahiko” is the most tradicional or old with this dance the people represent the nature and gods hawaian culture. The music is played on a Ukelele.
-The second is “avana”, it is a contemporary dance. It is more modern than the “kahiko”. The music is played on a guitar.
The hula represents stories, the most important in this dance is the movement of the dancers, arms and the most famous Hawaian song is Aloha Oe, and a lot of people think that this is the Hawaian hymn.

Flower necklaces these necklaces express the beauty of the islands. The necklaces are made of dried flowers, candy and many other materials.
Aloha: when the people want to say Hello/ good bye/ love, they say aloha.
Tiki: These are old sooden handmade figures. The tiki representing gods, guardians and spirits.
Shaka: It is a symbol of aloha and is part of the local culture of Hawaii. This is a symbol of blessing by a Hawaiian hero, who had three fingers missing. The shaka has transcended for many generations, but it’s meaning has changed.

Music : There are a different styles music of traditional music, all of these styles speak about the nature of their gods and feelings. Among the different styles of music there are Ukulele, Falsetto, Jawaiiano and many more.

ECONOMY

The economy of hawaii is basically based on the tourism. Before the economy was based on the military activities. The money that hawaians use is the dollar.

CURIOSITIES
(We have chosen some interesting things about Hawaii and now we are going to speak about them)
-Do you know the song wiki wiki? This is a word that the hawaians say to the buses because the buses are very fast, so the word siki is another word for fast.
-The president Barak Obama was born in Hawaii.
-The famous TV series “Lost” was shot in Hawaii.
-The film 2012 was shot in Hawaii, because there are scenes with volcanoes.
-A lot of couples get married in Hawaii because this is a dream or a lot of women. The couples both wear white clothes and the family wear the flower necklace. What you can visit in Hawaii.
-The national volcano park, where you can see the biggest volcanoes in the world , you can also see the volcanoes chenger.
-The Valley Waipi’o where you can climb and go horse riding. In volley waipi’o you can visit the waterfalls.
-At the Kahaluu beach you can go snorkeling with the animals: like tropical fish, dolphins, turtles and whales.
-You can also do helicopter tour and see the different places and things like mountans, volcanoes, beaches. You can walk in the forest too.
-The most typical activity in Hawai is the Luau, it’s a show where the dancers dance the hula.

CONCLUSIONS

We think that if we have the opportunity to travel we will choose this island, because while we were doing this project we learnt about different from here. We would also visit this country because of its culture because it is very interesting and new for us.

Evaluation of my oral presentation:

I did this presentation with my friend Ariadna and I think that is better.
The topic of own presentation was Hawaii.
In this presentation we used powerpoint with images and we used real information of this country. The time of our presentation was 10-12 minutes more or less.
I was looking at the class all time but sometimes I read the words most difficults.
I made some gestures to hold the attention of the audience and I also did these gestures because I was nervous.
We organized the presentation of differents parts like the climate, the geography...
I used some markesrs to organize the information. In my opinion I think that aur presentation was easy to understand because we used our own vocabulary. I uses connectors and fillers.
I think that my pronunciation was normal but it was bad when I pronounced a difficult words.

Anty tobacco law

At the beginning of 2011 the new anti tobacco law affects all Spain.

Now in the Spanish bars, restaurants, pubs and discotecs the people can't smoke.

The new law says that near schools or hospitals it is also forbidden to smoke.

A lot of bars and restaurant owners are very angry about this, because this new law causes them to lose curtumers.

They also say it is unfair because the government lets them sell cigarets in their bars.

One month ago the first bar owner was given a fine of about 45.000€. This man says that he isn't going to pay the fine.

In my opinion this law is very exaggereated, because before in the bars or restaurants there were smoking and no smoking areas and in my opinion this was satisfactory.

In my case I don't smoke ans now the smoke doesn't bother me, but before this wasn't a problem for me.

To sum up I think that this law is too strict.

Improving the pollution!

The mayor of Madrid has proposed to reduce the number of vehicles in the centre of the capital to improve the pollution.
They say we will have to use more public transport, buses, trains, undergraund, taxis...

In my opinion thisidea is very good but it is very difficult to do this because in most cities there isn't sufficient public transport ans it is also very expensive.
To do this project first all the transports and roads are be impruved.

If everythinf are organized, in my opinion the people use more the public transport, but I also think that do this project in a small town is very difficult, because in towns there aren't many buses so the people can't take the bus when it is necessary.

In conclution I think that every body can help to improve the world.
