FINAL REFLECTION

This is my last year in the high school so I think that I have learnt a lot of things and in this writing I'm going to speak about whot I have learnt.

In my first writing I used short sentances, easy words and I didn't use many connectors. Howhever in my last writing I was carefol to use connectors and my sentances were more complex. For example now I know how use the conditional and other verb tenses. In my opinion my first oral presentation I was very nervious and I read a lot from my paper, but in my last presentation I improved a lot and I didn't use my notes. I think that on the wholw my pronunciation was better in my last presentation. In spite of the fact that the contents of my last oral presentation were more complicated that the first.

In my opinion my best oral presentation was the one about beauty because the subject was intrestion and I improvised some thin. One of my best writings was about my own country, Ukraine because for me this subject was very spesial and I knew a lot about my country.

In conclution, I think that I have leant a lot these years. I know that I don't dominate English very well, but I would like that in the future Iwill improve my English and I'm sure that it will be usefol for me in me life. Even though I don't use the verbs correctly but I think that if in the future I go to an English speaking country they will be able to understand me.

Laura in the city of Saints

This term in catalan class we read two books the two books are tradies, But I am only going to talk about Laura in the city of Saints.
This book is about a poor young girl from Barcelona who liv's with her aunt.
Then she meets a guy who has all the heritage of his family so he is rich.
Laura gets married to him because she thinks taht she is in loves whit him.
They move to Tomas's town, but there the people are very cold, not nice people, abd Tomas's sister is jealous of her. Laura hasn't got an friends and Tomas works all day and then goes out with muther women.
Everything goes wrong, and when she becomes pregnant and has a girl a week later the girl dies.
Laura meets a guy and they become friends but all the town talk about her Laura's husband leaves Laura. She returns to Barcelona and lives with nuns.

In my opinion this book is a classic of catalan literature but this year we anly read drama books.
I also think taht with this book we learn that not every book has a happy ending, that there are a lot of types of marriages that where not everybody has good relationship with the family. In fact I would like to be in a place where everybody hates you

The bother on oner of the victims become nervious and threw a shoe at the killer. Ther murder killed seventy-nine people.

In my opinion there are a lot of crazy people maybe it is a genetic illness or maybe these people become ill because of the society. Nowadays there is a lot of stress. I also think that it is very sad that people kill other people. I think that the law sshould be stronger for these people. In my opinion It would be necessary to invest more in protection of people because we live in XX centuary and this world is very dangerous.

Cild labor abuses


This new says that in countries like Indonesia, Maroco, Guinea anf India there are a lot of child labor abuses. In this news we can see a girls who work like to be servant so if she works she can't to go to school ans improve. However the Domestic Workers Convention adopted a new law the last year, forbidding domestic work by young children.

In myopinion I think this news item is so sad because in this cauntry the things are very different because all the children go to school and they can't work intil they are 16 years old. I think that it is a very different situation because we live in a developed country. India is sach a poor country so every body needs to work to live.

I think that the solution is that the rich countries stould help the poor countries and in this way maybe people will respect the laws.

1-What are human rights?
In my opinion human rights are standards fot all humans. All humans are equal so all humans deserve the same treatment . Human rihts jutge everybody the same.

2- Why were they created?
In my opinion human raghts were created to protect the weakest people.

3- How many human riths are there?
I think taht there are a lot of humans rights the most important ares are civil and polutical rights and here we can see rights to life, to personal security, to equality before the law, to freesom of thought, freedom of expression and opinion, to notionality...
In economic rights we can see rightd to the property and to economical security.
Social rights it is to food, to work, to social security, to health, to housing and to educationright...

4- Which human right were you not familiar with?
In cultural right there is one that says " right to enjoy the bebefits of science". In my opinion this right is stupid because if the science improve it is fot the humans. Maybe is the scientists discover the solution for cancer I'm sure that every body will enjoy it.

We need a solution, I don't know whot we can do because I am not an expert on that but I think that you can improve this situation because is you work.

Are mobile phones worth the risk?

Nowadays a person who doesn’t have a mobile phone is a strange person. You can say that the mobile phone is part of our daily lives. We do not know how to live without the mobile phone.

On the one hand, the mobile phone is very practical, we can do a lot of things with it. The most important thing is the communication, then we have more aplications like internet, music, photos, games and much more. And these applications can be updated over time so we can do more things everyday.

On other hand, many scientists say that the mobile phons broadcast electromagnetic  waves and we can suffer cancer or other illnesses. What’s more, communication aerials also harm the environment harms the environment with the mobile phone's antenns.

In my opinion all the tecnologies are very important, but I also think that we are much dependent on that so sometimes we have to disconnect from the world and enjoy life

My oral presentation

The last oral presentation was about my research project and the mane is Death in the Mays's religion and in their decendens. In my opionion this oral presentation wasn't very good because in this subject there are difficult words so I read a little. I also was nervous because this subject was a little different to explain. All these were the nagative part.

Despire this I think that my power point was ood because I diden't put a lot of words and there Were some photos. I think that this subject was very particular because maybe there are people who like this subject and there are who don't.

Finally i think that I could have done it better because this subject is so difficult to explain in English.

Humour is a thing that makest you more happier and it helps you to be more positeve in the life.

On the one hand, i think that humour plays an important role in our life bacause with humour life is more amusing. Moreover with humour bad moments can become better. I also think that people always remember the goog and funny moments so the people love humour.

On the other hand, the people must also be serious because everybody should think about their future.

In my opinion humour is very important in our life. What's more everybody says that " if you laugh a lot, you will live a long time".

As a result, if everybody thinks like this, homour is a good thing.

Oral presentation BEAUTY

In myopinion I think that this oral presentation don't is the best. Normally I never are nerveous because I know all people of my class. I also read a little because in this subject there are some difficults words pronuns for me like "exagerated", "surgery" and meny more.

I think that the power point that I do with my partner Ariadna was the best because we have a lot of pictures, all the pictures are very colorfulls and intrestings. Our estroctur of oral presentation are most entresting because we didn't speak first 5 minutes one and then 5 minutes the other, instead we took turns because this way is more entreteining. In conclution I think that we can do better the oral presentation, and I'm sure that the next will be better.

Hi teacher my name is Mariana and now I'm going to talk about my future.

This year the first thing that I want to do is to pass batxillerat and do the selectivitat, then I want to study for my driving licence because I think that it's very important thing for all your life. If you want to work in summer and the wokr is in another place the driving licence is very important.

I also think that the selectivitat is important because you get a mark and this mark is for all your life. With this mark you can do a different universities and you can choose a different subjects to study.

The long term goals for meis going to the university and doing the university studies like economy, marketing... I don't know which one but something about busness studies.

I'll also want to have a good job. I want to work a little and ear a lot of money like everyone.

I would like to live in a duplex and have a beautiful and good car.In my opinion everyone wants the best life and I'm not different.

Final Reflection

Final Reflection

Last year I also didfirst of batxillerat and I didn't understand enything. When I did writings first I did the writing in catalan and then I translated the writing to English.
This year I think that I have improved because when I did writings for my space I did them in English.
When I look at my writings of September I see a lot of mistakes and I also see Thet I didn't write the verbs well.
Now maybe I also make less mistakes but I think that I improved. Before my writings were very short and they didin't have connectors and maybe the words in the sentences were in the wrong order.

I think that the activities that show my level of English best are all of the writings because we do a lot of writings and all of them are different. By doing writings I also have amproved my vovabulary because I search a lot of words, thanks to the writings I search to do the writing directly. in English, and maybe thanks to writings I think faster in English.
The oral presentation has also help me to improve my pronunciation.

In the one hand this year the most important activity that has help me the the most is the blod. Doing the blog you have to do a lot of writings and in the end you can do writings without a dictionary. With the blog I aldo do podcast so I improve my pronunciation.

In the other hand in language class I have done two or three readings and listenings and now I feel annoyed with myself for not doing more because in next year these activities will be very important and difficult for me.

I know that in English class we study and improve a lot because we work hard but we also have a good time.
The best of English class for me is when we speak in English because everybody tries and sometimes people say very funny things.
I also like preparing my oral presentation with my friend because we search for information but we also have a good time, I also like to do the podcast, I like do it anly or with my partners it is funny because when you have finished the podcast, you listen it and you laugh a lot.

In conclusion I think that this year I have improved a lot because I work hard, but I also have a good time.
I want to learn English language because nowaday it is very important but I think that I kearn very well English If I continue to fight.

This summer I'm not going to work so if you want you can come to visit me. Since 2009 we haven't met.
I have one idea : you can come to Castelló d'Empúries and you can sleep and eat in my house. But if you want to know new places of you want to stay in a hotel I can help you.
If you came to Castelló you can meet very frendly and sociable people. Here you can visit the Cathedral, the old prison and the flour museum. These place are very calm and a little boring. If you want more extroverted holidayys you can take the bus and go to Empuriabrav, there you can go to the beach to relax, swim or sunbathe and you can be a parachutist for one day.
Also you can go to Figueres yo visit the famous Dalí museum. In Figueres you can also buy a lot of clothes because there are a lot of shops.
If you want to go to parties go to Empuriabrava there is the famous disco Pacha and in Roses you van go to Chic.
Finally I advise ypu to take a lot of clothes because here the temperature is very "crazy":
sometimes it is hot and sometimes it is cold or it rains.
I would like that for these holidays you stay home, this way we will spend more time together.

Introduction
In this presentation we are going to talk about drugs, their consequences and how drugs affect in young people. We have chosen this subject because nowadays we can see this problem all around us.
We also chose this subject because we think that people take drugs to forget their problems or to relax because they think that drugs aren't a problem to their healt. There are other people who take drugs in order to have new sensations. With this project we show you a consequences of drugs.

Drugs?
Drugs are an addictive substance that affects the nervous system because they relax you or make you nervious. But the problem is that drugs have secundary effects that can ruin your body.

History
A lot of people think that drugs is a new things. But in the XIX cebtury people know drugs, like the oriental people who take opio. A lot of civilitations take drugs for their religion, for rituals or to cure people. Hownever occidental people don't use drugs. In USA in the eighties alcohol was forbidden but there were people who trafficked with this drug. Nowadays tobacco and alcohol are legal but because of these legal drugs people die.

Types of drugs

Physical need:
Is when a person's body gets used to drugs to live their life.

Phsychologic need:
Here people need drugs to avoid discomfort or gets pleasure.

There are three types of drugs :
-Nervous system stimulatns: The affects that these drugs have : to improve the mood and increase happiness, decrease appetite, you lose sleep and increase in your heart beat. You stay nervous all the time, the famous drugs of these types are: the coffe, tobacco, cocaine, anphetaminas, antidepressive.

-Nervous system depressions : These types of drugs relax the nervous system. If you take big doses the drugs canpaeralize your brain and can cause death to the person. People take these drugs to sleeping, despression and for personal distress. The famous drugs of these types are : alcohol, barbiturates and drugs of opio.

-Hallucinogens: These drugs produce hallucionations. These types of drugs affect only your brain , cause dilation of the pupils, cold in the arms and legs and stomach pain. These drugs can also produce frightening and traumatic experiences.
The usually drug of these types are: cannabis, LSD and the natural hallucinogens are the fungi.

Designer drugs:
There are tablets of many colours and patterns, which consumers can choose according to theis preferences, These types of drugs are usuallyfor the nervous stimolants. The people who take these drugs think that they won't harm them, but really these drugs produce irreversible brain damage. The nagative effects of these drugs are: increases hearbeart, trembling, insomnia, confusion, visual or auditory hallucinations...


Illegal and legal drugs
The illegal drugs can't be consumed, cultivate or sold people who don't obey the law, can go to jail or pay a fine depending on the quantity or drugs they have. Illegal drugs are: opiates, cannabis, cocaine or hallucinogens.

Legal drugs are drugs that the law doesn't ban and people you can take and buy thse drugs anywhere. legal drugs are alcohol, tobacco and coffee.


Curiosities
Bob Marley smoked morihuana every day because he liked it and because in his culture it was normal and in his country it's legal. Marihuana reassured he and maybe for this reason his songs were calm. Nowadays a lot of teenagers want to be like Bob Marley because in his songs he give his opinion of the injustice in the world, and because he was peacefull maybe for the marihuana.

Conclutions

We think that nowadays young people start talking drugs earlier and this is a problem because during you teenage years your body and brain become mature and drugs affect your body more. We also think that each person is responsilbe of himself an has to worry about his walfare. So every one choose his live.

Valoration

In the last oral presentation I spoke about drugs with Ariadna.
I think that in this presentation I have improved a lot, I think that this presentation was the best. In this presentation I only read some words and I spoke every time, I looked at the public amn sometimes I made gestares to make the presentation more interesting. When I don't remenber something I improvice with my vocabulary. I think that the presentation was easy to understand because we do all the presentation with our vocabulary.

In our power point we didn't put too many words because we spoke about every thing. We used a lot of picturs because when people looked at picture we spoke aboute them.

I think that we improved o lot compared to other presentation. In this presentation I only became nervous at the start and then I was relaxed. This presentation was good because we studied the subject very well and when anybody asked a question we answered.
I think that this term my friend Ariadna and me will have a goog mark.

We have been to gether for two years and five month so I think that I krow him very well. At the beginning I'm going to talk about his physical character and then about his personality.

His name is Christian, he is 20 years old. He is very tall, he has big and blue eyes, his hair is short and very dark, he also has think lips. He loves goings to the gym so in my opinion he has a good body and he is quite attractive.

Now I'm going to talk about his personality. When you first meet him he seems to be a very moody and shy person, but then he becomes estroverted and funny person He is very sociable so he has a lot of friends. He is a very good listener so he always helps people who have problems. He is a self-critical person because when he does wrong things he ask fot forgiveness. I also think that he is a little competitive with his friends. And finally I am sure that he is big.headed because when he wants something he always gets it
